This title isn’t quite complete – it should also include something about working solo, so in this context, here goes!
- On birthdays, at the surprise office party, I get all the corners, and now the cake only has 4 pieces!
- Some of those telemarketers can be really sweet, my bff for a few minutes, especially if she can manage to turn off that “Your call may be monitored…” function – still wondering when my quality will be good enough not to require the control purposes.
- When it comes to softball, now I’m always at bat!
- Over time, you learn that overtime is actually two words.
- Ellen can actually be pretty cool . . . over time she’s taught me to dance!
- You learn that staff meetings are something you can do in bed.
- Eventually you need to call an exterminator to find all the post-it notes.
- You no longer have time for two hours of minesweeper every day.
- You can give the cleaning staff the day off, and sometimes, if you’re really nice, it’s okay to make that two or three!
- Dreaming – day or night – goes uninterrupted and turns into an amazing novel or some fine art!
- Going out for pizza becomes an adventure . . . enjoy this video, it’s hilarious:
The Pizza Adventure!
Finally, if you’d like to add to my list, feel free to comment . . . love to hear from you!
Lol it is quite funny but what does one do for valentines day or when its time for secret santa lol
Are you trying to tell me that Valentine’s Day is when Santa secretly shows up? I’ll have to take that up with the Board of Directors!
Haha! Hey that reminds me that I haven’t played Minesweeper in a while…!
Hi Christy! That reminds me of my biggest adjustment to switching to Windows 8 – no minesweeper, no solitaire, and no hearts – the 3-4:30 out of my 9-5 has been all shot to hell! 🙂
I love No 6., as long as you don’t have too many members of staff
The last time I counted, I only have one staff member.
AN excellent number. I also have the same number, otherwise you can get too much squabbling in the office
In theory yes, but somehow there seems to be more debating than ever . . . things get really interesting when the rules committee shows up . . . one member, but seven hats!
I wanna work from home…
Like everything else, it has its pros and cons . . . and if you really, really want to work from home, you can find my address and I’ll lease you a corner office . . . that’s at the far corner of my kitchen table! 🙂
I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Here’s the link if you’d like to accept. http://africolonialstories.wordpress.com/2013/06/28/very-inspiring-blogger-award/
I ended up watching the videos on YouTube after watching Ellen Degeneres. ^^
It sounds like you enjoyed it then?
I did ! It was hilarious ! You should watch the one at the gas station ! ! It made me LOLed so much , I mean, literally. She wiped clean the sunglasses of the driver . Full service, indeed . Laughing is such a great feeling. Thanks for sharing that !
I’ll definitely check it out – I’m guessing you’d probably enjoy my book – plenty of funny surprises, but it’s not all funny. Also, here’s one of my most popular posts . . . it seems the ladies got quite the charge out of it . . . don’t forget to check it’s date! Ohh, and be sure and check for the video at the end of it. 🙂
